Are carpets clean?

That's right, the surface you walk on every day is more disgusting than the place where you do your business in the bathroom. Stanley Steemer carpet cleaning removes an average of 94% of common household allergens. Even our carpet cleaning solution is an EPA Safer Choice product, which means it's safe for you, your pets and the environment. In other words, a Stanley Steemer carpet cleaning will leave your home cleaner and healthier.

Refresh and disinfect the fibers of your carpet without renting a steam cleaner with the help of a simple homemade solution and a scrub brush. In a small bowl or bucket, mix one part white vinegar with three parts water. Dip the bristles of the scrub brush in the solution and rub them into the carpet. Massage the fibers thoroughly (without completely saturating the carpet) and follow with a cloth to help remove excess moisture.

When using a carpet cleaning solution or soap, be sure to rinse them lightly with clean water to remove any remaining foam, and then dry them thoroughly. Get used to using a lint brush to remove pet hair from carpets and help keep them tidy between deep cleanings. Whether you have wall-to-wall carpets or area rugs, vacuuming at least once a week is a must more often if you have pets or children. Whether you're cleaning a stain on the carpet that's been there for a while, like a pet stain, or impressing your friends with the ease with which you can clean wine or a plate of food that has fallen off, simple cures are a good party trick and an essential life skill.

Steam cleaning involves using a pressurized cleaning solution injected deep into the carpet through water jet nozzles. But just because you cut a piece of paper on your finger and a few drops fall on the carpet doesn't mean your lint is permanently stained. If you must use the room while the carpet is damp, place plastic sheets or tarps on traffic routes to prevent staining. Hot water and steam penetrate carpet fibers to the backing to loosen embedded dirt, dust or grease deposits.

This method works great for carpets that are too delicate to clean with a vacuum or heavy machine, but it can be used on any carpet that is easily transported, excluding wall-to-wall carpets. Consider hiring a professional carpet cleaning company or doing a more thorough cleaning yourself at least twice a year. Allowing dust and dirt particles to remain on the carpet fibers makes them look opaque and retain odors and eventually wear down the backing and fibers of the carpet. However, if you don't have a vacuum, there are other ways to clean carpets, such as a traditional broom or carpet sweeper.

Instead of endlessly searching for the perfect rug, create your own colorful look with carpet tiles. We use hot water extraction to pump hot water to the carpet and release the dirt found deep in the fibers, and then we extract the water while removing the dirt. Vacuum or clean the carpet to remove loose dirt, and then follow the recommendations in the stain removal chart to remove visible stains.
